Schedule C Qualified Coop payments

I'm not able to get out of this error in Schedule C where it asks for Qualified Coop payments. I tried Blank, 0 but it still errors out. Can someone please help to fix it?

Are you able to delete the expense line by clicking the trashcan icon to the right?  Then click Add another row to re-enter the expense?

Or you may have to add the new expense line at the screen Here's your xxx info by clicking Add expenses for this work.

Thanks for the reply. It is not about the expense. It is Schedule C Part k about agricultural coop for which I don't have anything to report. So I'm trying 0 or leaving it blank and it doesn't accept either.

OK, I think we are talking about two different things here. The Schedule C on the 1040 doesn't have a part K.

So what Schedule C are you talking about?

In K 1. it says net income allocable to qualified payments from agricultural or horticultural crop. I tried to answer 0 and left blank but turbotax says error.

It shows under Part 5, k subsection

After entering the information for your Schedule C, there is a Continue button at the bottom of the page.  When you Continue, you encounter a screen "Is this Qualified Business Income?".  When you choose the button Yes, the next screen is "Let's cover some uncommon situations". One of the boxes is "This business received Form 1099-PATR".  If you select that box, new boxes open up to enter your 1099-PATR amounts.

If you didn't have a 1099-PATR, you should check to make sure that none of those boxes have anything in them.  Check the box for 1099-PATR, make sure everything is blank (not zero), and then un-check the 1099-PATR box.

If you don't have any other Schedule C payments aside from the Qualified Coop payments and/or you didn't receive Form 1099-PATR, you can delete the Schedule C and begin again.  Here's how:

How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?

  • Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  • In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
  • In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  • Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.

Also, this is the only way to fix this error?

I followed your instructions and check the box for 1099 PAR which brought up the entry boxes for that form and in the 1st box there was a 0. I removed the zero clicked continue and the error was corrected.

Thanks

UPDATE: This error came back. After some research I finally figured out what the issue was, at least in my case.  I reported a negative gross income on Line 1a of Sch C. This was the combination of my gross receipts and charge backs for unpaid customer invoices.  I removed this negative figure and replaced it with the positive gross receipts figures and entered the chargeback amount on line 2 Returns and Allowances.

The net result is the same and this error was removed.

Every year this broken software steals my money.  I can never e-file because of their bugs and I can't get a refund.  I'm done, going to some other software next year.  This is after 15 years use.  F*ck Intuit

This is the 2nd year that I have paid to efile and it would not let me either.  They won't give me my money back for efile either
