Schedule C business activity code of 999999 (unclassified establishment) means i am not eligible to e file. why?

You must change the business activity code from the miscellaneous setting to be able to e-file. Use the steps below to change it.

If you need to change the activity code:

1. Go to the search bar in the top right corner

2. Enter "Schedule C"

3. Select "Jump to Schedule C"

4. Select "Edit" next to your business name

5. Select "Update" next to "Business Profile"

6. Select "Edit" next to "Business Code"

7. The "Look Up Business Codes" button will help you find the appropriate code
