If 14a is not over $400, you don't owe any self-employment tax on it.

If it is over $400 and a Schedule SE is not showing up, then go back to box 14 to ensure everything is answered correctly.  Box 14 should have a description that says A-Net Earnings from Self Employment.

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Income & Expenses across the top.

3.  Scroll down to S-corps, Partnerships, and Trusts and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Schedule K-1.

Thanks; the amount is significantly over $400, and I have done what you wrote -- TurboTax stubbornly refuses to generate Sch SE!  Spent over 2 hours this afternoon with TurboTax, sharing desktops, and we couldn't make it happen. There is absolutely a bug in TurboTax; it won't generate Sch SE from K-1 Line 14a, for amount exceeding, say, $1,000.

Is the amount of any other wages received over $127,200?  I'm sorry to keep bothering you, it sounds like you've moved on, but I would really like to know why Turbo Tax isn't including it.  Any info you could give would be appreciated.

No bother; appreciate your willingness to help. Actually I found the problem, and it's not a TurboTax bug at all!  TurboTax is actually right (too complicated to explain here). It would help, however, if TurboTax had a "trace" facility with which you can give it a form/schedule and line number, and it would tell you which inputs were used, and how, to calculate it, like you could in a spreadsheet. Even a one-step backtrace would be immensely useful (and could probably save them a lot of customer support costs)!
