Our records indicate that you are not entitled to e-file one or more formsets

Paid for Fed + State (Virginia) Deluxe (with MAX protection). When I try to efile both, I got the "Your transmission didn't go through error. Looking for any suggestions online, I retried efiling just the federal, deleting the state, clearing cache and cookies. The live agent on the phone was of zero help. I checked and every form I'm submitting is showing as available and available for efile on the Intuit link.

Last year, I saw there was a system error submitting efiles with business Schedule Cs attached. Anyone experiencing the same issues? Any suggestions? Any idea when this system error will be corrected?

did you do a Turbotax review of your return? This message usually indicates that you are trying to file a return that contains a form that has not been finalized. the form number would normally show up when you do a review.

it could even be a form for a state return

you can use this website to see the availability of the formshttps://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product=Turbotax_online&bu=cg

Did you find a solution? I am running into the same issue and have had 2 live agents review and say everything looks right. I have done the same as you - tried e-filing Federal only, cleared cache & cookies.

TurboTax provides many reason why a return may not be able to be efiled.  I'm including MarilynG1's response above for why TurboTax may not be able to efile:

"Returns can't be e-filed if they:

Many nonresident and part-year state returns cannot be e-filed either, so we'll let you know if it must be paper-filed.

In addition, certain returns keep getting rejected because somebody else already claimed a dependent on the return or because of incorrect information in the IRS database. In these cases, there's nothing you can do to fix your return and e-file it. You'll need to file a paper return instead."

You can also check the tax form available link below to see if one of the forms your filing is not available for e-file through TurboTax:

  • Contain a W-2 where box 1 is blank or the box 16 amount is greater than the box 1 amount

Does this mean I cannot efile if I have HSA contribution?

I was using Turbotax online and I had the same issue for a few hours. I eventually resolved it by simply logging into Chrome with a different Google account, the one linked with Turbotax. I did not delete any form or update anything. I think there must be some tech issues with Turbotax.

Had same issue.

Checked the steps mentioned above.

Tried different browsers and laptops.

Nothing worked.

Waited a few hours and I was successful in submitting.
