On my schedule C Form 1040, the item 28 Part II There's a Partnership there with an employer number I don't recognize. I'm not sure why I'm a partner. Advise

I do have Robinhood with dividends, I'm thinking this is coming from that.

Did you enter, or start to enter, a Schedule K-1? That's where the information in that section of Schedule E would come from.

Huh? Schedule C, Part II, line 28 is just the total of the expenses on lines 8 through 27. What do you mean "There's a Partnership there with an employer number"? There's no place to put that kind of information on line 28 of Schedule C. Are you looking at a different form, not Schedule C? Please clarify exactly what you are looking at.

Here's a Screenshot

I was trying to figure out how this one got here. The only thing I could think of is that I have a 1099 form from Robinhood for my stocks and some of them have dividends. I don't even have a partnership. I'm self employed but for some reason this one go here. I remember that I simply connected Robinhood and whatever was put there was just added to my tax return. Now that I'm looking at my tax return and saw this on this line item listing me as a "partner" of some business entity that I have no idea what company is this and I never entered this here.

Your screen shot is Schedule E, not Schedule C.

PTP stands for Publicly Traded Partnership. You might have bought shares in a PTP through Robinhood.

you mean schedule E line 28. there is no way or there to be partnership info on schedule C line 28.

if you have a publicly traded partnership you would need to enter the information from the actual k-1.  there is no way Robinhood has this info.   Many PTPs allow you to import its K-1 info either from the following website or a website provided by the firm that prepared the partnership return

if not your going to have to have to obtain it by doing a web search otherwise expect a notice from the IRS in a year or 2 about missing info
