Mismatch between IRS login area of estimated taxes paid and my own records via EFTPS

I made estimated taxes payments throughout 2024 via EFTPS. When I login to IRS' website, they show my estimated tax payments for the year as being a few thousand dollars lower than what I actually paid.

Unsure what other info to provide. How should I handle this?

If you made a payment in January 2025, be sure it wasn't applied to tax year 2025 by mistake instead of 2024.   If you are sure that they were all made as Form 1040-ES payments for the correct tax year, then if it were me, I would first phone EFTPS.   They are much easier to reach than the IRS, and I believe they are open 24 hours. However, their site may be down for maintenance this evening.    They should be able to review all your payments and see if all the payments went through and the dates, and if unresolved, can tell you what your next steps should be.

This was the issue. I found the section in IRS website that shows a breakdown of all payments and their corresponding tax year. My records were out of alignment. All good now. Thanks!

You're welcome.  I'm glad it helped.  Good luck.
