Is a federal k-1 schedule required to be included with NYS mailed return if no distributions were made

Hi.  In the process of mailing in my NYS Trust IT 205 return.  Turbox tax instructions says I need to include a copy of my Federal 1041 and federal copy of the K-1 schedule for each beneficiary but is the K-1s really necessary if no distributions were made?

Correct, this is what they would want to see (it should not be zeros).  @Twamng01

Yes, you must send the K-1s to New York to show that there were no distributions and that the forms were not just omitted.

Thanks for the quick response.  When I look at the K-1 forms that Turbo Tax generated, all the fields in part III that would indicate any distributions are blank and not zeroed out  If all blanks, does this indicate that no distributions were made?  Is this what NYS wants included?  Blank K-1s?
