If LLC Partnership formed in 2016, 10K expenses in 2016, DOORS OPEN in 3/2017. Should I file my LLC Business for 2016 and list Start-up costs?

I have a LLC Partnership formed in 2016, expenses in 2016 are 12K, leases in 2016; however, DOORS OPEN in March 2017. I believed that I must file my LLC Business for 2016, list Start-up costs, and maybe amort. some costs. Correct? I am concerned that I need to show 2016 expenses rather than wait til 2017 and have expenses all way back to 2016

Yes, you may be able to deduct you expenses in 2016, click here for a Quickbooks article which has the specific rules.
