If I had an ein from a business I purchased in 2023 and changed the ein in January of 2024 which ein should I file on my 2023 return?

The business is an LLC and remains an LLC I purchased the business  January 1st 2023 and operated the business the entire year through a business account all in my name. I'm afraid of previous owner still being attached to the ein as it was his originally.

When you purchase a business, you are supposed to get a new EIN. You need to do that now and use it for filing your tax return. Get it online in a few minutes with the IRS here.
