I started a nonprofit this year. Does this count as "started a business" when filing personal taxes?

I know we will have to file taxes seperately for the nonprofit, but wasn't sure if I needed to include on my personal taxes when it asks the question if I started a business.

No.  You say no.

A non-profit will file form 990.  The requires the use of Turbotax Business version, which is only available as a CD or download for PC, there is no online or Mac version.

The "regular" Turbotax online, or desktop Home &Business version, is only asking about a single member LLC or sole proprietorship that files a schedule C attached to the personal 1040.

NONE of the TT programs can handle a form 990.

@eisenhauer-17 did you file with the IRS for tax exemption and did you get a letter acknowledging tax exemption and the type of 990 to be filed? if not see a lawyer.
