I started a new business in 2016, how do I add that business profile to my taxes?

To add a new business in TurboTax Self-Employed:

  1. In the search box, type Schedule C, then click on Jump to Schedule C
  2. TurboTax automatically creates Schedule C (or Schedule C-EZ) when you enter your business information or when you enter what the IRS considers self-employment income. 
  3. Enter the description and continue with the onscreen interview to add you new business.
