I retired from my contracting business in 2024. Turbo Tax is still asking for my business income and expenses. Any way to delete schedule C?

To delete Schedule C, you can delete any forms that have been created. If you don't have any entries or forms for the business this year, then they shouldn't appear next year.

 

In TurboTax Online:

 

1. Go to Wages & Income.
2. Open Self-Employed work summary.
3. Click on the trash can icon that appears next to a business you would like to delete.

If any forms remain:

 

1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
2. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form".
4. Select "Delete" next to any Schedule C form and follow the instructions.

 

In TurboTax Desktop, go to Forms mode and delete the unneeded forms.
