I need to override the "Year of depreciation" (line 51 of the asset entry). In 5th & final year. Date placed is 2016, but depr 1st year was 2019. I've done it before.

If you are not able to edit the asset, you can switch to Forms mode.

1. In forms mode, locate the asset entry
2. you can change the date acquired and date placed in service without override. Simply change the date by putting your cursor in the box and moving it to the end, backspace, type the correct number.
