If you are referring to completing an S Corp, C Corp or Partnership tax return, go to this website to purchase and download the 2024 TurboTax Business Edition - https://turbotax.intuit.com/small-business-taxes/cd-download/

The TurboTax Business Edition can only be installed on a Windows based personal computer, not on a Mac, Online or on a Mobile device.

The TurboTax Business Edition cannot be used to complete and file a personal tax return, Form 1040.

The desktop download software is already available, so if you need TurboTax Business for 2024 you can purchase and download it to a Windows PC and get started on your 2024 return, but understand that there will be many updates to the software.   You cannot actually e-file a 2024 return until late January, when the IRS begins to accept 2024 returns.

You have not actually described your business, though---so we do not know if you need TT Business or if you just need online Premium to complete a return with a Schedule C.    If you are a sole proprietor, you can also use any version of the desktop download in order to prepare a Schedule C.

Again....you cannot file a 2024 return until late January 2025 at the earliest.

Any update on when TurboTax Business will allow us to eFile?  I tried yesterday (2/1/2025) and it would not allow it.

Most business returns are now able to be efiled, but there are some returns that contain forms that aren't available to file yet. Visit the following TurboTax help article to see if that is the case for any of the forms in your return.

That is not correct.  When I try to eFile and print the 8453-FE form, it has a big watermark stating "DO NOT FILE  FORM NOT FINAL".  I can't believe this form is not final.  It is just the declaration for eFile, nothing complicated.

Form 8453-FE is expected to be available mid-February based on the forms availability website. Please visit this link for more updated information as dates may change.

Were you able to efile your business return without issues?

Eventually I was able to eFile.  I believe there was an update to the software coming, but not quite available.  The check was failing.  They have been doing this for 20 or so years so you think Intuit would have this figured out and dialed in, but apparently not.  It is annoying, especially in light of how much they charge for TT Business every year, and all they really do is update the year on the forms.  They definitely are taking advantage of customers by making you buy the software all over every year.

Thank you tim gross. Glad it worked out. Hope the state efiling worked too. Was concerned after reading 2023 filing season comments that the related business state e-filings were not working either after so many folks purchased those. Hope they are reading these comments, reporting to appropriate avenues for quick resolutions, and hiring proactive staff.
