This is happening in the error checking section. I can't see where do access the K1 file directly.
I believe this is a rounding error (mine says supplement by 1). I reduced an entry in the 8825 worksheet by $1 to compensate and now 199A is fine but the balance sheet is off by $1. TT needs to fix this but I have no way to contact them (they make it impossible). Very frustrating.
In the upper right corner of the TT screen you will see a link to "Forms". You can toggle between forms and step-by-step with this link. On forms, you will see a red exclamation point where your error is located. scroll through the form and look for a red shaded box. That is were the error is on the form.
Ok, I figured out a work around for this. In "forms", choose form 8825 worksheet, line 15 other expenses add "Rounding error" and either plus or minus $2 (in my case -$1). This will fix 199A but mess up your balance sheet by $2. To fix the balance sheet, go to your form 1065 Schedule L line 1 "cash" and add or subtract $2 to fix your balance sheet. TT Business programmers should take note and fix this in the software! Spent 2 hours with tech support and as nice as they are, they had no clue how to fix this.
I tried this suggestion and it resolved the error. I agree it was a rounding error...Turbotax just couldn't figure out how to split that one odd dollar.
There is a form 199A Worksheet by Activity. Line 1 is Qualified Business Income. Underneath is a line for adjustments. Enter your adjustment example (-1)
I had this problem and spent a lot of time with TurboTax tech support who gave me this answer for Business version. Go to Form (upper right corner) - click on "199A Act Wks" - On line 1 "Adjustments" click the + sign and enter in the $1 or $2 necessary to balance the amounts reported on the K-1s.
