I'm entering info into my turbotax product and nothing seems to be registering. I entered 2 1099NEC's and it still shows business income as zero. Same with expenses.

If you are using TurboTax Home and Business, enter the 1099-NEC in the Business tab rather than the Personal tab income.

 

If you have a version that doesn't fully support self-employment, such as Premier Desktop, the program doesn't support all business expenses.

 

If you are still having trouble, I suggest you try these troubleshooting steps:

 

  • Check your internet connection. Hardwired connections work best.
  • Try exiting TurboTax, restarting your device and starting TurboTax again.
  • Try using a different browser. Chrome usually works well.
  • Try clearing your cache and cookies.
