I have a TIN for my LLC, but schedule C asks for EIN. Are they the same?

The Employer Identification Number (EIN) is a type of Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). You would enter your TIN in the space that is asking for your EIN. Please see the following IRS website for more information regarding federal ID numbers:
