I have a 1099-MISC form with only box 7 filled in (nonemployee compensation). After entering, I get redirected to fill out information about self employment . Why?

Income reported in box 7 of form 1099-MISC is considered as self-employed income by the IRS. Being self-employed does not necessarily mean owning a business. You are considered as working for yourself.

So where do I enter the 1099-MISC? Under Self-Employment or Other Common Income?
