I filed my taxes with turbo tax march 9th 2021 . I never had issues with recieiving my stimulus checks until I filed with turbo tax for this third stimulus check! help!

I check on the IRS website and it says it does not have a date but it has the correct bank account and that I should recieve the funds. I have navy federal and they already distributed all the checks

The IRS issues the stimulus payments, not TurboTax. This means that we can't say for sure why you haven’t received your stimulus payment or if and when you'll receive it. 

 

 

Check the IRS Get My Payment tool daily as it's updated only once a day. It shows taxpayers where and how third stimulus funds will be delivered once they have issued a payment.

  • If you are seeing "Payment status not available",  it means that either the IRS has not yet issued your payment OR you are not eligible for a stimulus payment.

 

To be eligible for the third stimulus, you need to meet the following requirements: 

  • Families earning less than $150,000 a year and individuals earning less than $75,000 a year should get the full $1,400 per person.
  • Families earning up to $160,000 per year and individuals earning up to $80,000 per year will receive prorated amounts.
  • One notable difference from the first two stimulus is that you will receive stimulus payments for all your dependents, including adult dependents and college students.

You do not get the third stimulus check through Turbotax.  Rather, the IRS sends them out automatically (and separately), based on your most recent tax filing.  It has just started to do so, and it will take a few weeks to complete the process.  (I'm not sure why folks believe that all these payments are being issued this week.)  Per the IRS:

 

Payment Status Not Available: We haven't yet processed your payment or you're not eligible for a payment.
