To delete one itemized deduction:

  • Go to Federal > Deductions & Credits
  • Scroll down to the deduction you want to remove and then click Edit/Add
  • Then click Delete.

There is no option to delete. I see the "Edit" button only. When I click on it, it takes me through a series of questions. I answer NO to all, but it still ends up with a $1.00 deduction.

I am looking to remove "Other Deductible Expenses" from the "Other Deductions and Credits" section.

Delete from forms with these instructions.

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. Locate Tax Tools
  3. Select Tools
  4. See the pop-up window Tool Center
  5. Choose Delete a form
  6. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list
  7. Follow the instructions

What is the name of the form for "Other Deductible Expenses"?

I deleted "misc deductions wks", but that did not change anything.

You will want to go to the Other Deductible Expenses on the Deductions & Credits summary page- Edit- and delete the entry in the program.
