Form 1099-NEC CORR with $0 status with "VOID_INCOMPLETE"

I mistakenly e-filed a 1099-MISC form using the 1099-NEC, and it has already been accepted by the IRS. In an attempt to correct this, I went back to the Payee Name under 1099-NEC and attempted to enter $0, but the system did not allow it. After multiple attempts, I may have selected "Cancel," and now the status shows as "VOID_INCOMPLETE."

Does this status indicate that the system has already submitted a correction and e-filed the form with $0 to the IRS? When I click "Print," I see that the 1099-NEC has "CORR" marked with $0. However, I do not see any option to submit this form. When I attempt to edit, the system states, "You cannot edit e-filed forms" and "The form you are trying to access has already been accepted by the IRS."

Could you confirm whether the corrected 1099-NEC with $0 has been successfully submitted to the IRS, or do I need to mail the corrected form, since I do not see an option to e-file it again?

Thank you for your guidance.

You have successfully transmitted a corrected 1099-NEC to the IRS.  The corrected amount is $0.00, which I believe is what you were trying to accomplish.   You cannot edit/change a form 1099 once you have submitted the information to the IRS.  You can only create and submit a corrected form.
