Filed a 1099mis and I'm at the part that said activity and business name why is my name there FOR BUSINESS NAME AND NOT THE ACTUAL BUSINESS NAME??

If you are self-employed and received this form 1099-MISC, the IRS considers it as a business and business name here refers to you, and not the name of the business which issued your form 1099-MISC (the payer). For activity, just enter a brief description of what you did to get the income reported on the form -MISC (such as photographer, landscaper, etc...)
