Estate disbursement without schedule k-1

What if you receive a disbursement of less than $1000 from an estate but do not receive a schedule k-1?   I was told that there is no tax liability for me as an individual in this instance which is why they did not have to provide a schedule k-1.    Do I still have to report the income somehow or no?   Everything I see about estates references your K-1 but I don't have one.   Thanks.

You were just distributed some of the estate assets.  There is nothing you need to do on your return.

I recently was Executor of an estate and the 1041 reported in the income and paid the taxes, therefore no K-1's were issued.

So just rely on the Executor as they are the one who is responsible to report any income from the date of death until all assets are distributed to heirs.
