Do I need to include 1041 worksheets?

My accountant charged me $650 to fill out the same 1041 I created using TurboTax Business. The only difference is that he included several worksheets -- which I can't find anywhere on the IRS website or TurboTax. The trust owes no money. What should I do?

Which worksheets? They are generally not required to be filed in a 1041 return package.

A bunch of worksheets called Grantor/Agency Report of Income, Deductions, Credits, Allocations of Deductions for Tax-Exempt Income Worksheet. It kills me that he wants $650 for the exact same return I created from a 2021 Tax Report Statement from the Financial company that has all the trust money invested. It is an irrevocable trust, no money is distributed so no K-1. All ordinary dividends are kept in the account. Thanks!

I believe it has been established (in other threads) that this is a grantor trust and, as such, there are different filing options (one of which would eliminate the need to file a 1041 completely).

Regardless, the $650 is not really out of line for a professional tax preparer to prepare and file a 1041 for a grantor trust. You can certainly prepare it yourself (if the income is simply interest and dividends) and save some money.
