Checking over my return I see a deduction for business expenses of $43. Can you tell me how turbo tax got this figure?

This is my only question. I asked TurboTax, they sent me to the community. None of the responses are even close to answering that question. Now you want me to ask another question and waste more time?

We cannot see your screen or your tax return, so no one can tell you what the $43 is for.   Are you self-employed?  Did you enter business expenses on a Schedule C?   Where exactly are you seeing the $43 that has you puzzled?

You need to go through your business entries to see where that number is coming from.  To go back to your business entries:

  1. Open or continue your return
  2. Navigate to the Schedule C section:
    • TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to Schedule C.
    • TurboTax Desktop: Search for schedule c and select the Jump to link.
  3. Answer Yes to Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?

Review your entries to see where that $43 is from.  Feel free to reach back if you have more questions and give us more details.
