Use IRS Form 1099-INT to report interest income, tax-exempt interest and other forms of interest income. What version of TurboTax are you using? Please clarify.
Enter the 1099 information as follows.
- Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
- Across the top of the screen, click on Your Income.
- At the screen Your Income, scroll down to Interest and Dividends. Click Show more.
- Choose Interest on 1099-INT or Dividends on 1999-DIV by clicking Start / Revisit to the right.
Did you receive a 1099-DIV or 1099-INT form this year? If so, you may need to file a Schedule B with your tax return.
