Business Extension Filed - Acceptance?

I mailed the paper copy for our business extension a month ago.   Does the IRS send a letter stating whether it was accepted or not?  I have not received anything.

 

I now have the business return complete and ready to file as well as our personal.  Can I go ahead and file both without hearing if the extension was accepted or not?

The IRS will only notify you if your extension request was denied, so you are good.  Go ahead and file both now.
