Amended return not processed yet, can I apply the refund to current tax year?

I had an amended return for 2022 tax year. IRS has still not processed it. I am owed a much bigger refund and I asked for it to be applied to 2023 taxes. Can I include this on my 2023 return or do I need to wait until they process it?
