1099G and Self Employed

I am a self employed sole proprietor in the entertainment business.  Due to my venues being shut down last year I qualified for and received the  COVID related unemployment.  I received the 1099G only because of the business but am being told to put the income in the personal section not the business section.  Can I put the 1099G into the income for my Schedule C instead to ensure I don't have a loss this year?

No, it is not business income, it is personal income. You did not earn it, it was a benefit from the government.
