1099-misc how to report for farmers

I tried to add a 1099-Misc Box 1 Rent to my sch F form part 1 line 6 but after i did this it stated you can't report this income here. Says you can't report rental income on a Farm.

I got this from the Electric company because of replacing poles on the land took them 3 months to do this job.

If i add it earlier in the program it creates forms sch E & 4835 on top of my Sch F.

Is this correct to have all these forms now.

Form 4835 is like sch F but only shows rental amount and not my other expenses.

The Form 4835 is used when you rent farm land to someone else to raise crops. It doesn't seem appropriate in this case. You should just have the schedule E to report the rental income for the time the utility company was using the land for non-farm related purposes. I suggest you delete the Form 4835, unless you need it for other land you rent out.

Follow these instructions:

1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar

2. Choose Tools

3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links

4. Find the Form 4835 in the list and delete it
