You made a big mistake

I paid one of you a ton of money to do my taxes and somehow you messed it up and now my refund was $2000 less than YOU told me it would be and there’s no explanation as to why. I called last weekend and was told I’d get a letter which I never did so you all need to call me IMMEDIATELY!!! Not only does this mess up my refund but it messed up my stimulus as well. I’m so not happy with your services

TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TurboTax knows what the IRS changed or why your refund was less.  The IRS will not tell TurboTax anything.   Several weeks after  a refund is reduced the IRS sends you a letter to tell you why.   One of the most common reasons right now for a lower refund than you expected is user error when entering the amount of stimulus money received.   If you did not enter the full amount that you received then when they cross checked, they reduced your refund, because your refund included stimulus money you really already received.   Or your refund could be offset for something else like child support or back taxes.  The letter will explain.
