I put the wrong account number on my return. The IRS2Go app says my return was sent to my bank on 1Feb, but my bank says they haven't received it yet and that it probably got bounced back due to the wrong account number. How can I fix the account number on my return?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to fix this. The Direct Deposit will be rejected and sent back to the IRS. Once they receive it, they will issue you a paper check that you will receive in the mail in a few weeks.
Did you call the IRS to verify this? Or you just waiting?

Hey just wondering if you knew how to get in direct contact with someone from irs? With the COVID19 almost impossible to get some help I've entered the wrong direct deposit information and haven't received taxes or stimulus

@paulina2 The IRS is severely backlogged. Things that normally take a short time are taking a lot longer. We cannot tell you how long it might be for the IRS to mail your check if your bank returned it due to a closed or wrong account, but it will take at least two or three weeks--maybe longer.
