Would you PLEASE make it possible for us to file state taxes this year without filing federal taxes? It is in your users best interest to receive maximum COVID-19 relief

You can prepare a state return for submission by mail without filing a federal return using the TurboTax software.

 

Unfortunately, we are not able to do this with electronic filing.  Most states require that we transmit the federal return and the state return from the same files to reduce fraud.

 

It is not possible for our software to override these features.
