Taxes have been accepted, monies have been withdrawn from bank, but Turbo Tax still shows an amount due, higher than I already paid, and no matter what I do, it still says the same thing. Why?
Turbo Tax will always say the Tax Due or Refund. That is just the result of your tax return when you filed. It doesn’t know if or when you paid it and the IRS or state doesn’t update Turbo Tax when they get your payment.
The taxes owed shown on the Tax Home webpage will remain since TurboTax has no way to know when or if the taxes owed were ever paid.
Did you have federal and state taxes owed? If so, the amount showing on the Tax Home webpage could be the total of all taxes owed.
Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, to contact the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,
AND, to find your AGI next year.
