We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the stimulus payments and how they will be distributed to these type of accounts. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details.

TurboTax's partner that puts out their branded green dot debit cards many of us used just for the receipt of tax refunds has posted on their website that we will not be able to receive the stimulus payments to these cards. Odd that they are actively working with the IRS to create online tools to provide current filing information so they can rope in new customers, yet they seem incapable of answering a phone call, an email or providing truthful responses on their forums here for existing customers stuck with useless debit cards and now likely to be months delayed in getting their stimulus checks.
If this doesn't change, I hope TurboTax is ready for it's second major class action lawsuit in two years. My experience with TurboTax this year has been a complete disaster from start to finish, and I will never be using them again.
