How is it an irs issue? YOU GUYS hold the keys for every single person that had fees taken out since our direct deposit info is superceded to go to you first... so the question becomes, will you process irs deposits to appropriate individuals?
Nobody knows for sure yet.
For more information regarding this as well as a stimulus update refer to the source provided below.
We want to know if it will go to our turbo tax cards in order to make changes,we rather not wait until last second
I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THESE COMPANIES BUT HERE IS MY TAKE....
If you look on your copy of the tax return you should see the "bank account" information for the direct deposit to the Turbo Card, if that is what you chose for you payment method..
As long as that account information is still valid the stimulus payment should just show up credited to your Turbo Card once the IRS processes it.
The money does not go to Intuit for them to disburse.
The Turbo Card is managed by Green Dot bank and the direct deposit information they provided should still work...
That is my hope and assumption....
We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding the direct deposit information for the stimulus payments. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details. If the IRS does not use the TurboTax card, please see the information below the IRS has posted:
The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?
In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
Please see the information from the IRS below, regarding the stimulus checks:

The answer that the IRS looks at the banking info was the best answer. Yes they will be putting the Stimulus checks on those Turbo Tax bank cards.

The following is the best information we have so far.
Maybe ... details still to come if you used the refund processing option to have the TT fees withheld from the fed refund ... https://www.sbtpg.com/coronavirus-stimulus-payment-info/
SO look at your 2019 form 1040 at the DD info on page 2 ... if that is the same DD info for the Debit card you have then the IRS already has the card info and will send it there automatically.
If not then it is still to be determined if the deposit will go thru the third party processing bank like the original refund OR if you will need to change that DD info in the IRS portal to be built OR just get a check.
The vast majority of people do not need to take any action. The IRS will calculate and automatically send the economic impact payment to those eligible.
For people who have already filed their 2019 tax returns, the IRS will use this information to calculate the payment amount. For those who have not yet filed their return for 2019, the IRS will use information from their 2018 tax filing to calculate the payment. The economic impact payment will be deposited directly into the same banking account reflected on the return filed.

Ya I need to know that as well. I filed my taxes on 2/10 & was accepted on 2/10. I have been on still being processed 2/15 . I called on March 3rd they said that they needed my insurance forms ( 1095A & 8962) so I faxed it to them on 3/6. . They said that everything was good. Finally called back 2 weeks later got a Tax Advocate and she told me that she had gotten everything that she needed. So she had informed the IRS to put the codes in the release my refund . But even with that she said that it could take up to 3 weeks .
Thank you for clarifying that there may be different direct deposit information listed on your tax return depending on whether you had TT take their fees out of the refund or not. This is the only place I have heard mention of that so thank you again for this critical bit of information!
Will my stimulus money go to my Intuit Turbo Debit Visa Card?
FACTS KNOWN TO DATE:
FACT: A prepaid debit card has an underlying bank account that acts like a savings account not a checking account in that you can only spend what is in the account after fees are applied and it can be reloaded. Using the bank routing number and your "account" number at this sponsoring bank allows anyone like your employer/you/or the IRS to make deposits electronically.
FACT: If the routing/account number listed on the form 1040 that you filed in 2019 (or 2018 if 2019 is not yet filed) has the debit card information on it then that is where the stimulus check is scheduled to go when they are released automatically. @baltimore1999 REVIEW your return.
FACT: If your DD info is out of date for any reason the IRS will send a check instead automatically.
FACT: IF the IRS gets the PORTAL working in some way, taxpayers whose DD or mailing address is out of date will be able to update the info ... date this will be operational is still TBD.
FACT: TurboTax has partnered with the IRS to allow taxpayers who DO NOT NEED TO FILE a return to report the base minimum info to get a stimulus check. This system must ONLY be used for those who do not need to file ... those who are required to file a return CAN NOT use this option. Other tax programs are also working on this option to file a "simple" return that only has the taxpayer(s) name(s), address, dependents if any and the DD info if they have it.
FACT: For those who do not have a bank account they can buy a VISA debit card at the store for $5 to use for the DD ... you just just register the card with the same name/address as the primary taxpayer on the return.
FACT: If you choose to not use a prepaid debit card and choose to have the check mailed then if you need to update your address do so by mailing in the IRS form 8822 ASAP. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8822.pdf
FACT: If you are not required to file a return and you have SS benefits then you do NOT need to do anything to get the stimulus check now. BUT if you have dependents (under the age of 17) to list on a return then you can use the "simple" return option mentioned in the last fact to get the extra $500 now OR file a 2020 return later to capture this extra amount.
This has yet to be determined. This website should be helpful when information is determined. Keep checking for updates.
It will be a shame if the people who chose Turbo tax, chose the Turbo card, and paid EXTRA money to have a refund transfer to pay TT fees, get held up delaying the financial relief that they need. It shouldnt be that difficult as Turbo Tax has already partnered with the IRS and formed the Turbo Tax Coronavirus tax center to help people register for the stimulus check etc. What's the problem. It shouldnt be an issue for TT or SBTPG to help out THIER customers in a time of need. Smh
This is all new information, you do have your direct deposit account number on your tax return. Also, there will be other ways for you to report your direct deposit information if needed. We will keep you updated here.
