Will my amended state tax return reflect the balance paid?

Hello,

I recently filed my taxes without realizing I did not include a form. I amended my taxes last night and owed money to my state (NJ). When doing this in Turbo Tax it gave me the option to have the money owed to be taken directly out of my checking account (e-check), but the money owed is still reflected in my 1040X. Do I need to fix anything on my 1040X or when I mail it in the state will be able to see that I have paid this already? I do not want there to be inconsistencies where the state receives my 1040X without a check and be under the impression that I owe them money, but I do assume technology is pretty up to date now where they will be able to look me up and see that I sent the money through electronically rather than through a check in the mail.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.

If you chose to pay your state tax due by e-check, your state revenue department will match the e-check with the amount shown as due on your amended return. You do not need to change the amount on the return.
