why my IRS refund is more than what is shown in return?

I have filed my return and it showed a refund of some amount lets say 1000. but when i got my refund, the amount receieved is more than than 1000 by few bucks. for example i received 1019. wanted to know why that would be the case and is there any action on my part for this?

thanks

If the IRS changed your refund, they will send you a letter explaining why. You might not get the letter until a few weeks after you got the refund. For now, just wait for the letter and see what it says. There are any number of things on your tax return that they could have corrected. To suggest any particular item as a likely reason would just be guessing.

You do not have to do anything. Do not amend your return. The IRS has already made the changes.
