Why is TurboTax asking me to print a form and mail a check to IRS after my tax was filed? I want to pay electronically and they have my bank info.

I completed and paid my taxes in full last week here via e-file, and they had me fill out my bank account information. But I had to amend my taxes today because I received a form after filing - which lowered my taxable income. After my amended e-file  was complete, the system told me to print a payment coupon and send a check to the IRS. Why is that? Didn't I already pay? I previously owed and paid $2500 but after my amendment I only owed $2200, so why do I still have to send a check to the IRS?

it must be one or the other.

What does your form 1040-X say about it?

Did you review the form before you submitted it ?

The 1040X says that I have a refund due to me, which is around $300. I assume it's because I initially paid $2500 and now the amended version says I need to pay $2200 only.

I logged in to the IRS website and it says my taxes haven't been processed yet. I do remember though, that on TurboTax, I put the payment date as 5/17/2021.  Just checked my bank account and no payment has been deducted yet.
