Why is the IRS saying that my tax information is wrong when I'm trying to set up direct deposit for my stimulus check?

be sure to type your address EXACTLY as it appears on your tax return

AGI is line 7 on your 2018 return and line 8B on your 2019 return.  Refund is line 21a of the 2019 tax return. and line 20a for 2018

Idk why, but the IRS portal keeps saying for DAYS now that I am not putting my info in correctly, then locks me out for 24 hours. I am entering my AGI in correctly, and as for the refund/owe box, we owe money and had our refund taken. We still owe a bit more money, so WHAT EXACTLY are they asking for? The amount they took, which would've been our refund amount? Because that isn't working... neither is the refund amount, plus the letter the IRS sent me with the remainder balance (which I added the two), and that didn't work either!! I'm so confused and need this stimulus money ASAP! PLEASE HELP!!

@ElaineS1031 -  I'm having a little trouble following the payments issues

AGI is line 7 on your 2018 return and line 8B on your 2019 return

Refund is line 21a of the 2019 tax return. and line 20a for 2018

the amount you owe is line 23 on your 2019 form and line 22 on your 2018 form

does any of that solve the problem? look directly on the tax form you filed for these numbers.

For some reason my line 23 is blank. Straight from my turbotax return.... that's why I don't know what to type in that box.

@ElaineS1031 - is the screen asking you for how much you owe  or how much was your refund?

or did you come out getting neither a refund or owe anything - and if so, that is the problem

No, I did owe, so the problem wasn't a ZERO issue... I did see that was causing technical issues, but certainly not my case. It is the second page on the portal, after filling out the first page with ssn, address, etc... The second page asks for AIG, refund/owe amount, and checking/savings info to give to the IRS. This is where I keep getting locked out bc I am apparently typing in the wrong info for the refund box. The help button does say to look on 2019 1040 line 23, but mine is blank. I didn't know if anyone else was having the same issue and how to rectify it. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
