The Form 1040 for tax year 2018 is only one page.  Actually it is two half pages combined onto one page when formatted for printing.  The tax return for 2018 also includes 6 new schedules for the Form 1040, Schedule 1 thru Schedule 6.

Since each page of 2018 Form 1040 takes up only a half sheet of paper, pages 1 and 2 are both printed on a single sheet, page 1 above page 2.  If your tax return does not require any schedules or other forms, that one sheet is your entire federal tax return.

Yes that is the NEW postcard size 1040.  Under the new tax laws, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's.  Everything goes on a little Form 1040 that has six extra "schedules" with it.

The new 1040 is 2 half pages but now print on 1 sheet with the Signature line in the Middle.
