This is for your security in case you need to provide a copy of your tax returns to a third party. If you need to view your account information please see this:

  1. Sign into TurboTax if you haven't already.
  2. On the Tax Home screen, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we're not adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
  3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools then Print Center.
  4. On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year's return.
  5. On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2019 federal returns and Include Government and TurboTax Worksheets (optional), then select View or Print Forms.
  6. The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2019 Federal Tax Return next to Balance Due/Refund.
  7. You can view the state refund information on the State Electronic Filing instructions.

Soon as I click on add state, it just wants me to add another state and there is no tax tools menu on the left!

Have you already filed your return and are you using TurboTax Online?

Hi, I am using Turbotax Home and Business 2020, the desktop edition.  Last year I filed electronically.  This year, I'd like to do the same.  But the fields serving for Direct Deposit are x'd out and I cannot choose checking.  Should I have to file by mail and be paid by mail?  Thank you for helping.

If you are looking at the Form 1040 in Forms mode the direct deposit information will be x'd out on the form until the IRS has accepted the e-filed tax return.

You e-file the tax return in the File section of the program where you are first asked if you want to e-file or mail your tax return.  If you have a tax refund you will be asked how you want to receive the refund.  If you choose direct deposit you will be able to enter the bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit.

Hi, DoninGA,

You did a fine job explaining this.  I never saw this before.  Thanks to you,I know what to do, and have peace of mind.

Big Thumbs Up!    : )
