Why is it when I used the recovery rebate credited and just apply that $600 straight to taxes owed set of giving me an option I would have rather had that direct deposited into my savings to pay bills

So basically is there anyway I can get the $600 stimulus check direct deposited into my savings and pay the taxes owed on April 15th

If you did not get your second stimulus and have to claim it on your 2020 tax return as a Recovery rebate credit, the amount will automatically offset your tax due. There is no way to ask the IRS to issue a direct deposit of $600 to you now and for you to pay the whole balance due on April 15th.
