Why doesn’t my stimulus check go directly to my bank account that is on file and I get my refund through??

I make way less than $75k per year. I have my 2019 ptr filed.

why do you think it won't?

 

the 2nd stimulus will go to the same place the 1st stimulus went to.

Because it came as a check in the mail. I just don’t understand why. My tax return was direct deposit every year.

by any chance did you owe money in either 2018 or 2019? if so, did you authorized an 'auto debit' to pay what you owed as the IRS was not allowed to use that information for the stimulus direct deposit.  that is the only thing I can think of.  I assume you are stating you haven't changed bank accounts recently...
