That's a good thing!

when you file a return through TurboTax, first it gets 'sent', then it gets 'accepted' by IRS and then hopefully all goes well and it's processed.

TurboTax will only show that your return was accepted because after it was accepted, TT is done and does not get any further information from the IRS.

TT does not update after your return has been accepted.  Your account will always show the result of the return you prepared using the software.  TurboTax never knows if you received your refund —or if how, or when you paid tax due.  Your proof that you paid your tax will be your own bank/credit card records.

My original answer was correct as stated.

TurboTax 'sends/transmits' the return.

Then TurboTax tells you it's "accepted" by the IRS (meaning it all went through correctly).

If you are then saying that when you go to the IRS site, it's saying 'approved', that's a different matter. We can only comment on TurboTax.

if this helped, please consider clicking on the thumb ....in the lower left I believe : )

thanks
