The IRS WMR tool does not use the term "accepted." That term is used in a notification just to let you know the IRS agreed your efile was submitted OK in the right format so that processing can begin; i.e., accepted for processing. "Accepted" does not mean the IRS agrees with the substance of the items in the return. Processing has to finish first. Keep watching the IRS WMR tool to learn when the refund is approved, and then, finally, sent.
NOTE: Here's a common refund delay that many encounter this time of year, if it applies to you:
If you claimed the Earned Income Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), then by law (PATH Act) the IRS cannot issue a refund on those returns until after February 15. IRS goes on to say that those who claimed those credits should be seeing refunds deposited by February 27, although some filers with those credits may see it before then (but not before February 15.)
