All I wanted to do is regenerate the PDFs with the mailing instructions. I cannot revisit my tax input without doing an amended return. Stupid.
There's a trick to opening the return interview back up. Do NOT click on Amend. If you did start an amended return, we can tell you how to cancel it.
Here's how to open your return interview and go to the Print Center, where you can choose from various PDFs.
NOTE: When you open your return back up, do not make any changes in it if it's already been filed. If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.
NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
Yes and it doesn't regenerate the PDF with the mailing instructions. It just downloads the same PDF that I already have. I've also found other bugs in the software that are crazy. I will not be repurchasing Turbotax next year. It's ridiculous how this kind of stuff has been left in the software. It's seems as if no one just took the developer's word that things work without Software quality even verifying that the requirements.
