Why am I suddenly having my turbo tax charges being taken from my bank account instead of the refund as I e filed and am getting a refund by IRS ?

I had to go in a verify my ID then I got a 151 code 1242 now I have received a cp12 notice saying I am getting refund less a amount that still leaves a refund amount that would be plenty to cover my turbo tax charges yet turbo tax is taking my charges out of my bank account. I haven't even received any of my refund yet I am suddenly being charged why is that? And the turbo chat live is no longer an option?

If the IRS is taking too long to send your refund you still have to pay the fees in time.

 

See What if the IRS reduces your refund or delays it.

Then when the IRS does send your refund they won't take the fees out again.

You should have received about 4 emails asking for the fees.  If you don't pay they will debit your account.  You had to agree to it.
