Where do I report 2017 tax refund?

A federal tax refund is not reported on a federal tax return. Or are you referring to a state/local tax refund received in 2018?

To report a state/local tax refund received in 2018, please follow the steps below: 

1.) Federal

2.) Wages and Income

3.) Scroll down to Other Common Income

4.) Click Start or Revisit next to Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns

If you were looking to input a different piece of information into TurboTax, kindly provide additional details below. 

Some states require you to claim a Federal tax refund on the State tax return.
