When will I be able to get the advance for the 2024 tax return?

The desktop download has been available for several weeks.   The online software should become available sometime very soon but we do not have an exact date, so keep checking.

Any refund advance offered by TurboTax on a 2024 federal tax refund will not be available until after January 1, 2025.

Oh---did you mean the advance refund loan?

Sorry…TurboTax does not have any refund advance loans at this time.  For the past several tax seasons, there have been refund advance loans during January and February.  Those loans had to be offered to you, and no money was issued until the IRS accepted the user’s e-file.
